Senator Ted Cruz is getting serious about tackling deepfake AI-generated porn with his latest bill ... which is all about forcing tech companies to do the right thing, and swiftly too.

The Texas senator came on "TMZ Live" Thursday ... telling us how the "Take It Down Act" will federally charge individuals who publish non-consensual content online -- and more importantly, mandate big tech companies to take down such content within 48 hours.

TC tells us he got the idea to propose the bill after jumping in to help a Texas high school girl whose deepfake pics ended up on Snapchat for 9 months due to a boy at her school.

Jacob Elordi is the latest victim of the growing NSFW deepfake trend ... as the actor's likeness was used without his consent in pornographic content involving a minor.

Several posts have surfaced on X, which feature Jacob's face merged onto the body of a male OnlyFans creator ... with one post reportedly bringing in 3 million views.

Not only does the body in the footage not match Jacob's -- his distinctive birthmarks were not visible in the uploads -- the OnlyFans creator has reportedly spoken out ... condemning the footage as creepy, and noting he shot it when he was only 17 years old.

The family of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher received a substantial settlement from a German magazine recently ... being awarded a $217,000 check after the publication printed an AI-generated interview with the former Ferrari driver and tried to play it off like the real thing.

It was standing on a platform behind TV journalist Rawya Kassem -- when it slowly moves its right arm towards her, attempting to touch her booty in the middle of her report ... and seemingly making contact.

Rawya turns back and motions at the robot to back off ... shooting the robot a nasty glare before continuing on with her report. The robot already looks super real, resembling a man wearing a long gown below a red and white keffiyeh ... making this all the more creepy.
