Comedian Ian Edwards is making the most of his Fourth of July ... despite previous calls to boycott America's birthday amid the Black Lives Matter movement.

We caught up with Ian at LAX, where he explained why he isn't boycotting the federal holiday. As he put it ... his Black ancestors never got the chance to celebrate any holiday, let alone the Fourth of July -- so he plans to enjoy every bank holiday in their honor.

He added ... "I'm not gonna throw away a holiday and disrespect them like that. It's party time."

Chet Hanks is hitting back at people using his "White Boy Summer" catchphrase to promote hate and bigotry ... saying they've warped his good intentions.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's son reacted Wednesday to a New York Times piece highlighting the tagline's growing popularity among white supremacists.

As Chet put it ... he in no way cosigns the way his phrase has been co-opted by hate groups.

Darius Rucker says the time has come to forgive Morgan Wallen for using a racial slur ... and he wants to see Morgan get his due at award shows.

The country singer -- obviously famous from Hootie & the Blowfish -- says Morgan's worked hard to become a better person since he used the n-word during a drunken convo with a friend.

Appearing on Rolling Stone's 'Music Now' podcast, Darius said it still feels like Morgan hasn't been forgiven for the incident ... at least when it comes to CMA and ACM nominations.

Former NFL player Daniel Muir and his wife were arrested this week ... after their son -- who had been missing -- was found safe.

According to Indiana State Police, Muir's son, 14-year-old Bryson, was located after a SWAT team raided Muir's home in Indianapolis at around 6 AM on Wednesday.

A Silver Alert was first issued when Bryson went missing after visiting his grandmother's home in Cleveland, Ohio on June 16. The grandmother told police Bryson had a black eye and busted lip before his mother, Kristen, picked him up.

Ellen DeGeneres is clapping back at all those "mean girl" allegations ... which created controversy on her talk show, and ultimately contributed to her walking away from it.

The comedian addressed the controversial label attached to her during a recent stand-up show in Santa Rosa, California ... reportedly telling the near-capacity crowd, "I am many things, but I am not mean."

According to SFGATE, while Ellen stood up for herself, she did acknowledge, "I can be demanding, impatient, and tough. I am a strong woman."

Residents at a Santa Monica apartment building are telling the naked truth about a neighbor ... claiming he regularly walks in the nude -- and terrifies them.

Several people living in the West L.A. apartment spoke with KTLA about a male resident's behavior ... claiming he stalks the building butt naked while also hurling obscenities and racial epithets at his neighbors.

Among the laundry list of complaints ... residents say not only does the dude walk nude -- he's also known for pooping in the building's parking garage and trashing his apartment, with one woman claiming she's often seen him throw objects out his windows.
